The streetcars of New Orleans are an iconic part of the city's culture and history. They have been running since the 1830s, and today they are a popular way for tourists and locals alike to get around the city.

In the year before the Covid-19 pandemic, I had the opportunity to photograph the streetcars of New Orleans. I wanted to capture the beauty and history of these iconic vehicles, and to document them before the pandemic changed the city forever.
The resulting collection of photographs is a stunning tribute to the streetcars of New Orleans. The photographs capture the cars in all their glory, from the classic green and cream Perleys to the modern red and white St. Charles cars.
The photographs also capture the people of New Orleans who use the streetcars every day. There are photographs of tourists taking in the sights, of locals going to work, and of children playing on the streetcar tracks.
The collection of photographs is a reminder of the vibrant and diverse city of New Orleans. It is a city that is full of life and culture, and the streetcars are an essential part of that culture.
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed New Orleans in many ways. The streetcars are still running, but they are not as full as they used to be. The city is still vibrant and diverse, but it is also a bit more subdued.
The collection of photographs that I took in the year before the Covid-19 pandemic is a reminder of the city that was. It is a city that I hope will one day return to its former glory.
